Sitting comfortably on a low-slung track, the hair-raising Jais Sledder is the region’s longest toboggan ride. That's right–you'll be reaching speeds of up to 40 kph as you cover 1.8km in a rapid descent down the Hajar mountain range. The experience lasts a total of eight minutes and the speed will seem ten-fold when you're sitting so close to the ground. Despite this adrenaline rush, you will get to admire the glorious mountain panorama and the beautiful coastline.
- If you're worried about safety, rest assured. The Jais Sledder is built according to the best safety and technical standards and adheres to the ISO 19202 criteria. It uses the latest design technology relevant for summer sledding activities. Moreover, the sleds are designed for two people to sit comfortably, one in the front, and the other in the back. Once you're safely secured onto the sled, you'll find that each sledder has access to the braking system.
- Other adventure activities at Jebel Jais that you can explore include the Jebel Jais Flight, the world’s longest zip-line and an obstacle maze experience in the form of the Jais Ropes Course.
- The total combined weight of the riders (a maximum of 2 per sled) must not exceed 150kg.
- Strict dress code: Closed shoes are mandatory; no flip-flops are allowed. Ensure all loose clothing and hair below shoulder length is secured before riding.
- Backpacks, bags, umbrellas, bulky, pointed, or loose objects are prohibited.
- No food or gum is permitted on the ride.
- Touching the track or stopping the sled on the track, except in emergencies, is forbidden.
- Guests under the influence of any form of drug or alcohol are not permitted to participate in this activity.
- Drivers must be at least 1.5m (4.92ft) and be at least 12 years old. to operate a sled alone. To drive with a passenger, they must meet the height requirement of 1.38m (4.53ft) tall and 10 years old
- Drivers are prohibited from operating the sled if they cannot maintain a seated position, properly use safety restraints, or effectively operate the brake levers.
- Drivers who are unable to see the sled in front clearly to maintain a safe distance, or those who cannot follow all verbal and written instructions, are not permitted to operate the sled.
- Safety is a priority so this experience is restricted for guests under the age of 3 years and under the height of 1.05m (3.44ft).
- Guests under the height of 1.38m (4.53ft) must ride as a passenger and must be accompanied by an adult (driver) who is at least 1.5m (4.92ft) tall and a minimum of 12 years old.
- Passengers who cannot securely hold onto the front handle throughout the ride are not permitted.
- Your safety comes first so pregnant people and visitors with heart or seizure conditions, history of back or neck injuries, or any other medical condition that prevents the guest from following the safety rules and guidelines are restricted from participating in this experience.
- For the entire duration of the ride, participants must keep their seat belts fastened, remain seated, and keep their arms and legs inside the sled.
- Drivers are required to maintain a minimum distance of 25 meters from the sled ahead.
- Guests who purchase tickets for 3 rides must complete all the rides in a single day.
- Jais Adventure Park retains the right to change or close rides at any time due to weather, wildlife, capacity, or force majeure.
- All participants are required to sign a waiver. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for participants under the age of 18 years.
